About
We started with the chair, not the report
Accreed came out of watching accreditation chairs spend a year collecting documents and six weeks writing. We thought the ratio should be the other way around.
Why we built this
An accreditation review is a five year project run by someone who already has a full job. The work is not intellectually hard. It is administratively brutal. Twenty two faculty members, four artifact types each, nine sections, one deadline, and no system holding it together except a spreadsheet and a person with a good memory.
What we kept hearing was not that writing the report was difficult. It was that the evidence needed to write it honestly had never been collected, and by the time anyone noticed, some of it could no longer be produced. A three year trend cannot be assembled in three months.
So Accreed starts where the problem starts. Collect as the work happens, tie each artifact to the standard it answers, and let the report assemble itself out of a record that was already complete.
What we believe
Evidence first, writing last
Most accreditation software helps you write a report. The report is the easy part. We start with the collection problem because that is where reviews actually go wrong.
A claim without a source is a liability
Every number in a self-study should open to the document behind it. If it cannot, it will not survive the visit, and it should not have been written.
The record belongs to the institution
Your evidence leaves in the same shape it arrived. Export is a feature, not a negotiation.

Working with design partners
We build with a small number of schools going through live reviews rather than from a feature list. Most of what ships started as a specific problem someone hit in the middle of a cycle.
If you are running a review now and want to shape what gets built, we would like to hear from you. That is a real offer, not a marketing sentence.
